Founded in London in 2016 by Miguel Luque, who brings over 15 years of teaching experience in Spanish and French across the UK, Verbal Sounds is driven by a genuine passion for language education and helping learners achieve their goals.

We are especially focused on helping students achieve the best possible grades in their GCSE and A-level exams, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to get into their chosen universities and pursue their dreams.

One of the unique ways we support our learners is through our Language Socials — specially created to fill a vital gap in the market by providing a welcoming space where students can practice their target language in real-life social situations. These events encourage natural conversation, cultural exchange, and boost your confidence outside the classroom.

Language Socials

Led by wonderful native teachers, our Language Socials provide the perfect opportunity to practice speaking Spanish or French in a relaxed, social setting. You’ll engage in real-life conversations, explore cultural insights, music, and cuisine from Spain, Latin America, and France—all while enjoying delicious food and drinks.

Groups have a minimum of 4 students to ensure a lively and interactive experience.

Online Lessons:

• Adult Language Lessons: £50 per hour

• Block Booking (5 × 1-hour lessons): £240

In-Person Language Socials:

• Single Session: £25

Music has always been close to my heart alongside teaching languages. As a professional jazz and flamenco musician living in London, I’m excited to share the Mosaic Series—a project I started with the incredibly talented flamenco musician and sound engineer Ignacio Lusardi Monteverde. Together, we’ve created a special space at St John the Baptist Church in Hoxton where tradition and music come alive through the performances of some truly amazing artists.

We’ve been honoured to welcome incredible talents like flamenco guitarist Jesús Guerrero, celebrated the album launches of Bea Asurmendi and Judit Neddermann, and hosted the unforgettable Antonio Sánchez (nephew of the legendary Paco de Lucía). These evenings have been filled with passion, soul, and unforgettable moments.
